FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
AND FUNDRAISING
CANDIDATE FOCUS:
B-CU’s next President must possess experience successfully navigating and leading in higher education finance.

B-CU’s next President must also be a gifted and proven fundraiser, who partners with the Institutional Advancement team in cultivating, soliciting and stewarding major gifts for the institution.
SUPPORTING THE FOCUS
-
In concert with the Board and the CFO, the next President must lay the groundwork for increased net revenue and ensure that a solid plan is in place to not only balance the budget, but to also generate a positive net position.

-
During my leadership at Morningside University, the institution has experienced consecutive years of positive net positions, and over 50% of the institution’s long-term debt has been retired.

-
Additionally, under my leadership, the institution has grown and stabilized net tuition revenue by adding new and innovative academic programs, and by strategically pricing ourselves at a rate that keeps us competitive and at a median price point in comparison to all peer and aspirant institutions.

-
Previously, as the executive in charge of the Foundation at a large integrated health system, my team and I secured over $80M in private philanthropy and grants over a period of several years. My documented track record of financial management and fundraising demonstrates my capacity to lead B-CU in the two critical areas.
FUNDRAISING IN ACTION
I have experienced phenomenal accomplishments in the area of philanthropy in every setting where I’ve been privileged to serve. With a total of over $250M raised in private philanthropy throughout my career, $25M has already been raised at Morningside University in FY25.
