SUPPORTING THE FOCUS

  • At Morningside University, I have prioritized professional development initiatives that enhance teaching effectiveness, research capabilities, and service excellence.

  • I established the Office of Sponsored Research, which has secured over $7M in external funding from organizations including the Health Resources & Services Administration, National Endowment for the Humanities, and National Science Foundation. These resources have provided faculty with opportunities to pursue innovative research and pedagogical approaches

  • Additionally, my leadership philosophy centers on strategic personnel planning that matches employees' education, experience, talents, and skills to their positions. This approach maximizes efficiency and effectiveness while creating pathways for professional advancement.

  • At Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare, I supervised a division with 350+ employees, implementing professional development programs that improved employee retention and satisfaction. This experience in human capital management would be valuable for B-CU as it continues to develop its faculty and staff.
