I am a visionary servant-leader that has prodigious energy and stamina that allows me to navigate the ever-evolving landscape of higher education, friend and fundraise, attend to campus concerns, connect with community and business leaders, and share with and learn from faculty, staff and students through a variety of community-building activities.

I also fully understand the importance of serving as an advocate for B-CU at local, state, and national levels.

Through my board service to organizations like the University Senate of the United Methodist Church, the InTrust Center for Governance, the Africa University Board of Trustees, and several other organizations, I have developed extensive networks that could benefit B-CU, and I would wholeheartedly embrace the role of B-CU’s chief ambassador, actively engaging in the Daytona Beach community and beyond to advocate for the University and share its many stories of success.

During my time at Morningside University, I worked to develop and create a strategic partnership with the Sioux City Airport Authority, City of Sioux City, and Oracle Aviation to create an aviation program at Morningside University. Through this strategic alignment of partners, Morningside University now offers degree programs in aviation and aviation management; and the institution worked collaboratively to construct a new state-of-the-art aviation facility that is fully equipped with flight simulators, hangers and conference space

Beyond my time at Morningside University, I have consistently prioritized forging strategic partnerships with businesses, educational institutions, civic organizations, and government agencies. At Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare, I established collaborations with local school districts, universities, and community organizations that resulted in innovative programs like BookNook, which operates in all elementary schools of Shelby County, Tennessee. The BookNook partnership secured over $6M in private philanthropy and government grants. Also while at Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare, I was able to secure funding for the development of community health centers, a first of its kind food pharmacy, and a transformational community-based initiative designed to increase knowledge of accessible, appropriate and affordable healthcare services for women of color
